Using Probeware to Enhance Scientific Experiments: July 11, 2012
Evanston, IL - July 11, 2012
During the 2012-2013 school year, OSEP will be offering short-term loans of HP tablet laptop computers and Fourier sensors (Mobile Calculating Labs) to Chicago area schools. The goal of this project is to increase the use of technology in math and science classrooms and to facilitate access to online laboratories, such as the iLabs network (www.ilabcentral.org).
This summer, join us for a workshop where you will learn how to use the Fourier sensors to collect and analyze experimental data. Then, develop your own inquiry activities for the sensors based on lessons you already use in your classroom. Your activities will be contributed to a teacher resource database and shared with other teachers via the OSEP website. Teachers who participate in this workshop will have priority access to HP tablets and probeware for the 2012-2013 school year.
The workshop will be held at the Northwestern University campus in Evanston, IL on July 11, 2012. To learn more about this project, please visit the Project Access webpage.
