Writing Across the STEM Curriculum: June 27-28
Evanston, IL - June 27-28
Day 1) Will cover the pedagogical justification for more discussion, writing, and argument in science and math courses. Teachers will learn about, and share, the struggles involved in implementing writing and discussion in their courses.
Day 2) Will involve the practical application of the ideas and theories discussed on day 1. Specifically we will cover:
- Encouraging students to write more
- Creating sample syllabi and course schedules
- Planning times in class to use writing
- Implementing the various techniques from this course
Participants earn 14 CPDUs. The workshop is free, with lunches included.
